Two Saint Laurent ambassadors, one gala and a Taylor Swift soundtrack. Honestly, we couldn't have scripted it better.

BLACKPINK's Rosé and Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie attended the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles together on Saturday, Oct. 17, The Express Tribune reports. Both are ambassadors for Saint Laurent, and both wore the brand for the night, according to the Tribune.

Vogue lists them among the new-generation stars who "made the rounds" alongside Pamela Anderson and Pierce Brosnan.

Rosé's bow moment

Rosé arrived in a sheer black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello dress with one of the biggest bows of the night on its bodice, and she accessorized with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, Elle reports. It was her first-ever appearance at the annual event, per Elle.

Connor's sharp black look

Storrie went with a black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello look featuring a tailored coat, high-waisted trousers and a silk evening blouse, Elle reports. His silver Tiffany & Co. pieces included an Apollo brooch, a Tiffany HardWear necklace and Tiffany Lock small earrings, according to the jeweler, per Elle. The Academy shared his gala portrait on X.

The twist: a night of firsts

Here's what makes this pairing extra special: it was a first for both of them. Elle calls Rosé's appearance her first ever at the annual event, and reports that Storrie attended the gala for the first time too.

It caps a year of red carpet debuts for Storrie, who also attended his first-ever Met Gala in May, per Elle.

Storrie also had to sneak away to be there. He has been shooting the second season of Heated Rivalry but "managed to slip away from set" for the night, Elle reports. It was his first red carpet since the Creative Arts Emmys on Sept. 6, which he attended with his mom, per Elle.

The 'Blank Space' dance

And then there was Taylor. Videos from the gala showed Storrie and Rosé dancing together to "Blank Space" during Taylor Swift's performance, The Express Tribune reports, and their moment quickly caught fans' attention. Swift performed four songs that night, "Blank Space," "Love Story," "I Knew It, I Knew You" and "The Fate of Ophelia," per the Tribune, with "I Knew It, I Knew You" being her original song for Toy Story 5.

The gala took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and this year's honorees included John Carpenter, Colman Domingo and Charlize Theron, the Tribune reports. Swift's set was a huge night of its own; read about her live debut of "The Fate of Ophelia".

Why fans love this pairing

Storrie rose to wider prominence playing Ilya Rozanov in Heated Rivalry, while Rosé, a member of BLACKPINK, has also built a solo career, including her global hit "APT." with Bruno Mars, The Express Tribune notes. Their shared Saint Laurent ambassadorship gives them a natural connection at high-profile fashion and entertainment events, per the Tribune.

What's next for Rosé

She's not done with L.A. galas. Rosé is set to perform at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Nov. 7, Elle reports. Elle adds that her second solo album is set to arrive sometime in 2027. Her upbeat single "New Trick" came out last month, per Elle.
