Her first drama in four years
Park had taken a break from acting after the 2022 tvN drama Mental Coach Jegal, Xportsnews reports. Her comeback is an MBC daily drama, and the plot is already heating up. She plays Na Ji-ni, and in Monday's episode her character clashes with her mother, Na Se-ri, played by Han Go-eun, after Se-ri locks her in a room to keep her from meeting Lim Ji-hoo, played by Seong Yi-eon, according to iMBC.

"Can I really be a working mom?"
Park is opening up about juggling it all. In a preview clip on the show's official YouTube channel, she introduced herself as a "beginner mom actor" raising her 14-month-old daughter, and Kwak introduced himself as a "beginner dad," Star News reports.
"I'm starting work again after four years," she said, according to Star News. "I wondered, 'Can I really be a working mom?' but I wanted to do it well." She said she was doing it for her daughter and for herself.
The preview also shows Kwak bringing their daughter to the drama set, where the actors showered her with attention and Han Go-eun even gave her pocket money, Star News reports. Park admitted the moment felt surreal. "It was strange, too, how I suddenly changed, like I'd teleported from actor to mom," she said. Her goal? "I'm going to try to be a working mom who works hard at both parenting and work and does both perfectly."
I'm starting work again after four years.
The twist: it all started on "School 2013"
Here's the sweet part. Park and Kwak first met as co-stars on the 2013 KBS2 drama School 2013, where she played Song Ha-kyung and he played Oh Jung-ho, according to Star News. They later became a couple and married in February 2022, and they welcomed their first daughter in May 2025, Star News reports. Xportsnews notes Kwak is two years younger than Park.
So more than a decade after they shared a KBS2 classroom set, the two are heading back to KBS2 together, this time as parents.

Park announced the episode herself. On Oct. 15, she posted photos from the preview and the airtime on her account, signing off with a pun on her own name: "Aunties and uncles, please tune in live!" (in Korean, she ended the word with "-seyoung" instead of the usual "-seyo"), Xportsnews reports. Online, commenters replied with messages like "Finally it's on" and "I've been waiting all along," per Xportsnews.
Park first shared in July that her family was joining The Return of Superman, Xportsnews adds. Looking for more K-drama star news? See Son Ye-jin's Yokohama trip photos.
