If you're just catching up on the 25-year-old everyone's talking about, here's your guide.
From Obsession to superhero
Inde played Nikki in the Focus Features horror sensation Obsession, and that role led to her casting as the superhero Rogue in Marvel Studios' upcoming X-Men film, according to Variety's 10 Actors to Watch announcement.

The movie has been a monster hit. NBC Insider calls Obsession a box-office hit and a cultural phenomenon, and notes she previously had recurring roles in 13 Reasons Why and Superman & Lois. People describes it as a psychological horror thriller about a man who uses a cursed supernatural charm, the "One Wish Willow," to force his coworker, Nikki, to fall in love with him. NBC Insider notes the film is now streaming on Peacock.

NBCUniversal says she'll also star in The Waffle House Index.
"I feel like I snuck in"
Hosting SNL is a dream gig, and Inde is keeping things humble. "I literally I feel like I snuck in," she joked to Variety's Marc Malkin. "I'm super excited to keep everything under wraps because I really truly want to make this super fun for the audience. And what I love is when I don't know anything. So I'm really excited to be working with the writers."
Her episode is the show's fourth of Season 52, airing on Halloween night, per NBC Insider. And NBCUniversal says it's Gracie Abrams' second time as musical guest.

Playing Rogue
On the Newport Beach carpet, she told Variety it's an "honor" to play Rogue. Inde also said she hasn't corresponded directly with Anna Paquin, who originated the role, Variety reports, but she feels "the correspondence started when I was younger, when I really fell in love with the 'X-Men' movies in the first place."
She's in great company, too. Variety announced its 2026 class on Sept. 9, and says past Actors to Watch honorees include more than 35 Oscar winners and nominees, among them Mahershala Ali, Timothée Chalamet and Brie Larson.

The twist: "I'm the laziest person"
Here's the confession that made us love her even more. Asked about stunt training for the superhero film, Inde was refreshingly honest. "I've always wanted to take part in that sort of a thing," she told Variety. "I think it's also a really good excuse to get in the gym. I'm the laziest person, and I am very excited to get up and move my body."
As Filmofilia points out, her comments were about enthusiasm for the work ahead, not an account of completed training or a detailed stunt plan.

And that's not her only relatable moment. She has secretly watched Obsession with real audiences, People reports, citing her interview with W Magazine. "I hide really well, and they don't see me," she said, as quoted by People. "I've worn many wigs."
Starstruck at the gala
Even a rising star gets starstruck. Inde told Variety the Academy Museum Gala was "amazing," and she was excited to see Jessica Lange and Pamela Anderson. "I spoke to Jessica Lange, who is an icon," she said. "[And] the way that Pamela carries herself with such grace and honesty and just pure creativity and love is just exactly who I want to be."
From horror breakout to Marvel mutant to SNL host, Inde Navarrette's 2026 just keeps leveling up, and we'll be watching on Halloween.
