Calvin Harris was born Adam Richard Wiles on January 17, 1984, and is one of the world's biggest DJs and producers, according to Wikipedia. He started making bedroom demos in 1999 and, back home in Dumfries with little money, posted his songs on Myspace.
His debut album, I Created Disco (2007), came with the hits "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls." Ready for the Weekend (2009) went to number one in Scotland and the UK, and "I'm Not Alone" was his first UK number-one single. On those early tracks he mostly sang himself.
18 Months (2012) topped the UK chart and was his first album to chart on the US Billboard 200. In 2013 he beat Michael Jackson's record for the most top-ten singles from one album. Motion (2014), Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 (2017) and Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 (2022) followed, and he holds the Official Charts Company record for the most UK number-one singles of the 2010s.
He has earned 23 Brit Award nominations, winning British Producer of the Year and British Single of the Year in 2019, and he won the Grammy for Best Music Video in 2013. He topped Forbes's list of the world's highest-paid DJs for six straight years, from 2013 to 2018.
His first headline tour of North America, 18 arena dates promoted by Live Nation, runs from Boston to Los Angeles. Get the presale dates and every stop in Calvin Harris Tour 2027.
