Pure Prairie League to Nashville

The '90s peak
His breakthrough album When I Call Your Name started a run that brought 65 entries on the Billboard country charts, including four solo No. 1s between 1992 and 1994: "I Still Believe in You," "Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away," "One More Last Chance" and "Tryin' to Get Over You." Every album he released in the 1990s went platinum or higher, led by the quintuple-platinum I Still Believe in You. His 22 Grammy Awards are the most of any solo male country artist.
